Bally’s Corporation has completed the purchase of the Tropicana Evansville casino from Caesars Entertainment.


The Indiana, US, casino now becomes a Bally’s property with its sports betting and igaming skins, increasing Bally’s access to the Indiana market.

The deal cost Bally’s $140m. As part of it, an affiliate of Gaming and Leisure Properties acquired the real estate associated with the Tropicana Evansville for $340m, which it is leasing to Bally’s for $28m per year.

GLP also acquired the real estate associated with Bally’s Dover Downs casino for $144m, which it is leasing back to Bally’s for $12m per year.

Tropicana Evansville has 45,000sq.ft of casino floor, four dining venues, a race and sportsbook and back-of-house space. It also has 11,000sq.ft of convention space and the Riverfront Event Center located across the street that includes 10,000sq.ft of meeting rooms overlooking the Ohio River. There is also a 243-room hotel tower and a 95-room boutique hotel.
