The Australian row over the possibility of cashless gaming entering the slot machine market, has hit new heights.

Now the CEO of the powerful clubs organisation in New South Wales has been fired for criticising the initiative of the state premier, Dominic Perrottet, in seeking to introduce cashless.

Josh Landis (pictured) was removed by his ClubsNSW board yesterday after local politicians called for his resignation following Landis’ quotes reported in a national newspaper that Perrottet was seeking gambling reform through his “conservative Catholic gut.”

Landis subsequently apologised for his remarks, but it was not enough for his ClubsNSW colleagues. He was firmly in opposition to the introduction of mandatory cashless gaming.
