The Borgata Hotel Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey, US, will reopen on July 26.



The luxury location will get back to business with an invitation-only event ahead of public reopening.

Initially, the venue, owned by MGM Resorts, it will have limited facilities. It had been decided to hold back reopening because of the limitations placed upon public dining, said Melanie Johnson, president and COO of the casino. When it does open it will have new outdoor dining available and a takeout programme.

The usual health and sanitation precautions will be taken throughout the property, she said, in addition to extra protocols introduced by the group itself.

The Borgata has over 100,000 square feet of event space and 2,000 rooms, with 161,000 square feet of gaming,189 table games, just under 3,000 slots and a 75-plus table poker room, plus race and sportsbook.
