Kentucky Derby owner Churchill Downs Inc has named Mike Anderson as its 14th president.



Anderson has 24 years’ experience in operating at CDI, serving as vice president of operations most recently, heading up over $300m in capital projects across the company’s properties. He joined CDI in 1996 and has held a number of posts within the organisation.

Mike Ziegler is now senior vice president and general manager of Churchill Downs Racetrack, a role he will operate while fulfilling his current responsibilities as director of racing. He joined the company in 2015.
