The 2019 World Series of Poker Europe Main Event stop at King’s Resort has come to an end. The €10,350 No Limit Hold’em tournament saw 541 entries, which created a prize pool of €5,139,500. The tournament was the second largest WSOPE Main Event to date and was the third edition of the festival to take place in Rozvadov. In the end it was Alexandros Kolonias who earned the first-place win, defeating Claas Segebrecht in heads-up play.

Final Table:

The final table consisted of nine players, each from a different country. Included in the mix was Anthony Zinno and Dario Sammartino, both WSOP Player of the Year contenders for 2019. The first to go was Rifat Palevic, who is a former WSOP winner, followed by several more players until only Kolonias and Segebrecht remained.

According to the WSOP…

Once the heads-up round of the poker tournament began, the action would be short-lived. Kolonias started with a 3 to 2 advantage and quickly took a much bigger lead. Segebrecht would gain a little ground after earning a full house over trip tens, but it wouldn’t be enough. Before a half hour of gameplay would commence, it was over.

Segebrecht would shove all in with pocket threes and Kolonias would call with Ace-K suited. A king on the flop helped Kolonias with spades on the turn and river securing the player a nut flush and the win.
