Advantech, the specialist in embedded computing products, has entered into a technology and distribution agreement with General Touch, a touch manufacturer based in China.

The deal will see Mike Leary, formally with Advantech’s displays division, move across to work for General Touch, providing an account manager to work closely with Advantech’s European displays team.

Advantech will now be able to offer a wider range of industrial and commercial touch products, including a greater range of display sizes, between 24ins and 65ins; more panel kits, open frame and closed frame (including desktop style) displays; and enhanced features such as C and J shape curving, in frame LED surrounds and narrow bezels.

Edward Price, Advantech’s European managing director of the European Displays team said: “General Touch has been working closely with Advantech for several years on many global projects. This agreement enables the two companies to work closer for the benefit of Advantech, General Touch, and most importantly, Advantech’s customers.”

The synergy created by this set up will no doubt take us to the next level.”
