The XL Spring Series has started at 888poker, and already a few events have finished up. The series is always a hit with players, as the online poker provider offers plenty of action at the virtual felt. For this year’s Spring version, players can compete from May 30 to June 6, taking part in 25 events. There is over $1 million in prize money up for grabs.

Most events have a buy-in of $5.50 to $55, making the series quite affordable. This is why so many players turn out for the XL Series, because they can afford to play in more than one event. Check out a few of the already completed events below.

Event #5

This tournament took place yesterday and had a buy-in of $33. It was a $20,000 R&A Event, featuring a $20,000 prize pool. The event saw 342 entries with 218 rebuys plus more than 100 add-ons. In the end, the prize pool was boosted by an additional $640.

It would take seven hours for the online poker tournament to finish up and it was Joao Pedro Rocha who earned the first-place prize. From Brazil, Rocha goes by jpsalgadocr0 online. He won $3,982 for his efforts, after defeating li1li1 in the heads-up round.

Event #7

The last event of May 31 was #7, an $8,000 Late R&A tournament. With an $11 buy-in, the event saw 300 players competing with 232 rebuys and 123 add-ons. The tournament went by quickly, taking just under six hours to complete.

This time around, it was another player from the United Kingdom who claimed the win. Online player Invented21st finished first, after defeating BrunoZika1 from Brazil. The winner took home $1,622 while second place earned $1,172.

Today, the series continues with the XL Spring Event #8, #9, and #10. Event #8 is a $50,000 High Roller with a larger $320 buy-in. This tournament offers a prize pool of $50,000. For #9, the tournament is a Mini High Roller with a $25,000 prize pool and a $55 buy-in. The last event of the day is a $20,000 Late High Roller, featuring a $20,000 prize pool and $109 buy-in.

If you are looking for Main Event action, the online poker tournaments are not scheduled until June 6. On this date, there is the Main Event, Mini Main and Micro Main. The Main has a $250 buy-in and $500,000 prize pool. The Mini version offers a $33 buy-in and a smaller $50,000 prize pool.
