A $3bn entertainment hub including a casino, hotel and 20,000-seat arena has been proposed just south of the Las Vegas Strip, Bloomberg reported.

The project comes from live sports entertainment developer Oak View Group, which said it would begin construction next year. The site is located near the Silverton on 66 acres that Oak View recently purchased.

Oak View said it needs a partner to operate the hotel and casino and has held talks with potential participants. Oak View has developed arenas in Seattle, New York and Austin, Texas
